Well, I didn't sign up to the National Novel Writing Month. I figured it was ridiculously time-consuming for the mother of a 6 month old baby....I would never complete it. Considering I haven't written a word since my last post, I don't think I'll be writing 50,000 of the damn things in a 4 week time frame! 50 must be a magic number because it is also the cost of the wee creative writing course I was looking into (and subsequently decided not to enroll). I suppose it's about knowing your limits. At this moment in time I am currently 'across the water' at the in-laws' home (by 'across the water' I mean that we've had to take a flight!), the day after we return we have more relatives to stay and after they leave we have a few days before I take another jet plane with my daughter to visit her grand-father...my dad. (He's a blog topic in his own right so we won't go there).
As you can imagine, such a jet-setting lifestyle isn't conducive to writing. By writing I mean my little novel but obviously I can find a little moment to top up this blog! I'm starting to see a running theme in these blog posts...
My husband is obviously with me on this little jaunt. We took a walk into the city this afternoon and I found some fabulous little snippets of inspiration for my novel. I was quite excited but anxious that I would forget them so I took some photos as reminders on my phone. I felt quite pleased with myself...my own personal shorthand, photographs.
Isn't it cute that I'm desperately trying to maintain anonymity? Sure haven't I already revealed my sex, marital status and that I have a daughter and this only the third post? Sheesh, by post six you'll know my medical records!
